About the artist

Stephanie Faleski worked in the field of graphic design, illustration and desktop publishing for more than 25 years. Her work has appeared in publications of businesses and community service organizations, juried exhibitions and private collections. Recent works include Our Home in the Shadows, commissioned by Peaceable Kingdom of PA, and a series of posters for Armed Forces Day, commissioned by the Lehigh Valley Military Affairs Council. She is active in several art and community service organizations.

About the calico

Like thousands of cats across the USA, the calico who inspired this web site was born feral, homeless and terrified of human contact. Fortunately, she lived in a colony monitored by animal rescue volunteers. Under their watch, she survived her first fragile months of life without starving, freezing, contracting a terminal disease or being hit by a car. At 6 months of age, she was trapped, spayed and adopted into a loving home where she has lived happily for many years.
